Sax 'n Art Jazz Club, 28 Le Loi Street, D1
Well established jazz club is a great late night venue to appreciate local jazz.

Since 2004 this jazz club has been at the forefront of jazz and blues in Saigon. A consistent house band lead by noted saxophonist, Tran Manh Tuan, have released numerous CD's and represent some of the top professional musicians the city has to offer. Best nights are Friday and Saturday, though during the week the band often includes other supported local mussos. A late night venue with bands starting after 9pm this is not the cheapest of bars and cocktail prices can be expensive. Also watch out for a $3 USD per head cover charge, so read the outside blackboard for details. Food is limited.

Seventeen Saloon, 103A Pham Ngu Lao Street, D1
Great late night venue with raging hard rock bands.
Sheridans Irish House, 17/13 Le Thanh Ton, D1
Good music, good food and great company any night of the week.

Sheridan's is noted for its live bands every night from 8pm. The resident band of locals and expats is regularly joined by other musicians and passing troubadours. Irish music plus a wide range of blues / jazz styles and contemporary sounds. Bar food is good, staff helpful and friendly. Upstairs lounge is great for a group and is regularly used for local darts team matches. TV screens display events largely on request of patrons.
Neil deClaire, the recently appointed chef, is looking forward to satisfying hungry and homesick expats with his good British home-cooked menu. Filling roasts, meaty curries and good pub-grub selections. Vegetarians have not been forgotten with such offerings as mini pesto pancakes and stir-fried tofu or vegetable lasagne. Currently the 160,000 VND roast lunch includes either soup or salad to start, followed by a massive serving of roast meat, gravy, with vegetables. Two choices of roast each day including beef, ham, pork, corned beef, chicken and turkey on special occasions. So if you feel you have had too much rice or noodles then Sheridans is the place to go for a great feed.
